VIÑAS DE ALTO SALVADOR is located in Alto Salvador (latitude 33.02° South), at the highest altitude in the Department of San Martin, Mendoza, Argentina, 30 kilometers east of the Andes Mountains, which explains the zone’s unique climate conditions.
The 22-hectares’ property is fully dedicated to vineyards surrounding a winery with a production capacity of 2,500,000 liters of fine wine.
The company also runs a nearby 70 hectares’ property located in “El Ñango”, District of Montecaseros, San Martín, Mendoza, dedicated to the production of the highest quality wine grapes.
Both vineyards have the following varieties of grapes: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo and Sangiovese.
We only use organic and ecological cultivation methods. The vineyards are watered through the irrigation system that collects natural water from the thaw of the Cordillera de los Andes snow and are protected with anti-hail technology.
The grapes are harvested during morning hours, to avoid high temperatures. For their proper conservation, our wines are only exposed to low temperatures since the vintage to their sale.
